Dominic Grijalva is an award-winning graphic designer, actor, and an amateur director based in New York, New York. He is always in the middle of a project and is constantly trying to catch up on sleep.
As a designer, Mr. Grijalva has worked with multiple notable figures in the Broadway industry including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Billy Porter, Stephanie Klemons, Nick Blaemire, and Kerrigan-Lowdermilk among others. He won a 2017 National ADDY Award for his work on Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play, and has been recognized by Communication Arts, the Adobe Design Achievement Awards, Adobe, 99u, and other organizations as well. Most recently, he served as associate projection designer for In the Heights at The Kennedy Center. Dominic currently serves as the Design Manager for the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society in Manhattan.
When he is not so busy chasing inspiration, Dominic can be found rapping along to Hamilton, traveling to catch a show, or feeding his latest Netflix binge. Whether it’s on the stage or behind a MacBook Dominic enjoys using his passion for theatrics and unique sense of humor to come up with creative solutions that intrigue, inform and please the senses, and he prefers to do it with an optimistic disposition. After all, “life is short, and I want to have smile wrinkles.”
